Every member a 'minister'. Everyone gets to 'play'. We embrace the value that every believer has a gift from God to contribute to the furtherance of the Kingdom of God.
missions
We are a missional church, both local and international. We reach out to our community through all kinds of servant ministries and we partner with other churches in India and Tanzania. We have sent teams to Africa, Mexico and India to share the good news, assist in building projects, conduct pastors seminars, distribute mosquito nets to families to help prevent Malaria, and support other worthy mission projects.
awana
We are called to be a family church. During the school year we have one of the best programs available every Wednesday night: AWANA. AWANA partners with the family in training their children in the scriptures and in the ways of God. AWANA makes learning the principles of God enjoyable for all ages. Your children, from toddlers to teen agers will find a place to connect, grow and serve.
small groups
Our small group ministry meets throughout the year in 3 sessions. Groups meet in homes, at the church and at various places such as the gym. For current small groups in session visit our online calendar page or our resources page. Everyone welcome. There is a group for everyone. living hope community outreach center
Living Hope is our downtown mission, with the goal of having a presence of the love of God in the middle of our city. We assist individuals and families with food, clothing, furniture, free meals, GED and tutoring classes, prayer ministry, spiritual direction etc. It is staffed with all volunteers. If you are interested in loving and helping people, contact Michelle the Living Hope Coordinator to find a place to serve.
children
Children are important at Vineyard! We value our time with them and make our times of learning about Jesus a lot of fun so we can come along side you, the parents, and impact the next generation with the gospel. Every Sunday morning during regular worship time we have 'children's church' with the aim of making a difference in each child's life. Every Wednesday during the school year we have AWANA which is a great program for raising up children/teens in the Word and to help with character formation. Beverly Peluso is our children's pastor.
youth
Students are a priority at Vineyard . . . Our student ministry meets every 2nd and 3rd Sunday during church at the sermon time where they connect and do their own lesson. Also once a month, they have a special gathering after church where they can build relationships and do special things together. We also have AWANA on Wednesday nights for middle school and high school.
worship
We have dedicated musicians who take the Vineyard worship experience seriously. Our worship team puts their heart and talent into every service to usher in the presence of God and create an atmosphere for anyone to enter in and connect with God during our worship times on Sunday and Wednesday before small groups.
community service
Our church serves our community by reaching out in many different ways to our local schools such as helping to provide inflatables for the Midland City Elementary Fun Day, presenting a Bible to the 80 to 100 Kindergarten grads at Midland City Elementary. We also feed the JV and Varsity football teams and cheer leaders at least once each year. Having block parties in downtown Dothan with free food, free inflatables for the neighborhood kids, and free Christian Rappers. We have sponsored local T Ball teams, been a part of Homeless Stand Downs, shoe drives, we offer GED Classes, backpack buddies for children in need, we have helped build 3 Habitat for Humanity homes and the list goes on. We have a downtown ministry called Living Hope that is open 5 days a week to serve our community and its needs. Come be a part of an outward focused church and experience the joy of serving.
